I use one or two forums frequently to help me with my work .  It took me a long time to find a forum I liked , where the people treated me like an equal and didn't talk down to me. 

In my many searches of the Internet I have discovered forums that interested me, sometimes because of their content but sometimes because of their unusual nature.  I realize that the Internet caters for a wide range of interests, but I am still surprised by the nature of some forum's.  It is hard to believe that people can spend hours talking about a particular subject.  I started keeping a link to one or two of these strange forums so that I could monitor them to see what they were really about .  That started me off, I am now a "Forum Anorak" collecting links to forums like some demented train spotter.
